How we listen can make or break a situation. As leaders, people come to us in times of need. They can be fueled by rage or aching from a broken heart, and they turn to us for help. We never know when these opportunities will arrive at our office door (or hallway, playground, or coffee shop), but they inevitably will. It's in those moments that our leadership counts.We can be the change we want to see in our schools by leading with our hearts, listening to hear, and asking the 'just right' question. We can have an impact. During our time together, we will talk about intentional listening, asking questions to move people forward, and how, through empathy, we can be there for those in our care. Through real-life stories, group conversations, and individual reflection, we will think deeply about our work as leaders and make a plan to do at least one thing when we get back to our school family.
